The Chinalco-Rio Tinto Exploration (“CRTX”) company was established in 2011 to explore for copper, coal, potash, iron ore, nickel and borates in the People’s Republic of China. The company is a joint venture between two of the world’s leading minerals and metals producers – Chinalco and Rio Tinto. We aim to operate as a seamless organisation that maximises the benefits of standard and shared approaches for every activity. The Company’s objective is to maximise total shareholder return by sustainably finding, developing, mining and processing natural resources. Our major exploration targets are copper, coal and potash.
