The Chinalco-Rio Tinto Exploration (“CRTX”) company was established in 2011 to explore for copper, coal, potash, iron ore, nickel and borates in the People’s Republic of China. The company is a joint venture between two of the world’s leading minerals and metals producers – Chinalco and Rio Tinto. We aim to operate as a seamless organisation that maximises the benefits of standard and shared approaches for every activity. The Company’s objective is to maximise total shareholder return by sustainably finding, developing, mining and processing natural resources. Our major exploration targets are copper, coal and potash. To assist with growing and developing CRTX’s business in China, we are looking for GIS Interns to join the CRTX Beijing office, reporting to the Information Specialist.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

? Digitize, georeference, attribute and edit Geology-related maps;
使用ArcGIS软件矢量化，配准和编辑地质相关图件；
? Convert MapGIS/MapInfo format maps into ArcGIS Format;
将MapGIS/MapInfo格式图件转换为ArcGIS格式；
? Maintain ArcSDE database ;
维护ArcSDE数据库；
? Other tasks assigned by leader.

To be considered for this role you will have:

? ArcGIS software experience is a must;
必须能熟练使用ArcGIS 软件；
? Have basic Geology knowledge;
掌握地质基础知识；
? MS office software skills are required;
能够熟练使用Office办公软件；
? Good command of both spoken and written English;
良好的英语口头及书面表达能力；
? Long term internship or candidates who are available 4 days+ per week will be preferred.
能够长期实习且每周能实习4天以上者优先
