Maurice Sporting Goods is the worlds leading distributor and manufacturer of outdoor and fitness recreation products. We stock products in the Fishing, Hunting, Marine, and Camping and Fitness areas. Maurice has the largest sporting goods distribution network in North America, offering our customers true nationwide service through our network of four warehouses in the US and Canada.
Maurice was established in 1923 by our founder, Maurice Olshansky, as a Sporting Goods outlet in downtown Chicago. Our first expansion was to Atlanta in 1973, followed by Dallas in 1976, Harrisburg in 1988, Reno in 1991, and Toronto in 1994. We were the first distributors in the country to computerize. We were also the first to make extensive use of Planograms, to pre-ticket, and to provide regional satellite warehouses.
