Production Graphic Design / Packaging Support role

Note: Not responsible for the creating artwork and/or packaging, only support & implementation of printed packaging.

· Ability to understand and apply Creative to existing and/or newly created packaging structures (die lines)

· Ability to apply and implement artwork that has been pre-defined by Marketing team

· Ability to work with all types of packaging materials (Corrugate, Clam shell, Blister packs, open & closed Boxes)

· Review and communicate packaging configurations and changes w/ appropriate team members (Creative Director and Packaging Manager)

· Provide detail product specs and print substrates for changes, approvals, pre-production to team

· Work with factories and printers to discuss the solution to improve and optimize the existing packages designs, and work with packages manager to finalize and implement the solution

· Work with inspection team and factories to confirm if packages defective can be accepted, and discuss the solution how to improve and resolve the package defective issues.

Production & Implementation:

· Maintain a working knowledge of Print Production, Photography, Proofing, and Pre-Press

· Ability to provide pre packaging structures and print process samples for pre-approval

· Maintain final print and package control samples with resources.

· Communicate pint and packaging production time lines with various resources to meet product manufacturing & shipping requirement.

· Provide printer manufacturing capabilities to team.

· Work in conjunction with our China office & Packaging manager to source new print vendors when applicable.

· Solicit initial print / packaging project pricing with resources and submit to the product development team for final approval

· Assure suggested printed packaging comply with all types of industry quality standards including but not limited to CTL, CPSC

· Responsible for maintaining all art files with direct communication back to the US marketing team


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Four year college degree or equivalent experience

· Four to six years of experience in Production Graphics Design

· Proficient in Adobe Suite CS5: Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design

· Experience and or working knowledge in print and packaging production

· Ability to travel
