OVERALL PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

Senior QC Inspector primary responsibilities consist of monitoring production for assigned factories and scheduling and conducting inspections. All inspections will be conducted in accordance to guidelines for each specific product or product category.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1, Monitor assigned factory open orders and maintain communication with factory contacts to schedule inspections:
o Communicate with assigned factories on order completion dates, coordinate and schedule inspections in a timely
manner allowing the factories to make the shipping window.
o Manage scheduled inspection calendar in accordance with the office guidelines
o Make travel arrangements according to guidelines set by General Manager.
o Prepare ahead to make sure approved control samples are in place; one sample at the factory and one kept at the office
2,Inspections:
o Alert factory representative upon arrival what orders will be inspected and discuss any preparation requirements.
o Follow inspection guidelines as outlined for each product or product category and reference control samples for final
evaluation against completed product.
o Complete an inspection and call report for each inspection performed and forward to the office when completed. Retain
for future reference.
3, Quality infraction reporting
o Quality infractions that are discovered during inspection must be reported to the office General Manager or senior Quality
Engineer immediately after inspection is completed.
o Identify the quality issue that was discovered and communicate to the factory the situation only. After receiving direction
from the office General Manager communicate the action for correction.
o Establish a timeline to rework and re-schedule a follow-up inspection.
4, General administrative and reporting;
o Prepare for inspection audits upon request.
o Prepare expense reports and maintain receipt for reporting.
o Prepare monthly and quarterly inspection and call report summaries to review with general manager and or sr. inspector.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
o Over 3 years experience conducting factory product inspections, sporting goods and related product experience preferred
o Experience working with factories and understanding of general operations.

? o Ability to travel to work onsite at different factory locations
