Vera Bradley was founded by two dear friends Barbara Baekgaard and Patricia Miller in 1982 (tell the Atlanta airport story). They started the business in the basement with selling the product to their friends and family. Today, 29 years later we are company with over 1500 employees and selling products throughout the U.S. Currently we have approx 50 Vera Bradley owned retail stores and over 4,500 wholesale partners. Since Oct 2010 we are a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq Stockexchange. Our acronym is VRA and feel free to look up our financial performance.

Company mission is to be “Girls best friend” and “to be there where she is”; we are in process of expanding our distribution channels (This year we had pop up stores in different regions in Japan).
