The NKD Group is one of the biggest textile retailing companies in Germany and Austria.
In Germany, NKD branches currently number more than 1,000, with 5,000 employees and generated a turnover of EUR 350 million in 2008. Among German retailers NKD ranks 16th in terms of turnover (source: TextilWirtschaft 35/09).
In Austria, too, NKD has become firmly established. With more than 250 branches and 850 employees and a turnover of EUR 114 million in 2008, the fashion discounter is one of the most rapidly expanding textile chains.
More recently, NKD has turned its eyes from Europe towards China where’s huge market at the beginning of 2010 as strategy.
