Swire Motors China is the China business arm of Taikoo Motors (www.taikoomotors.com.tw) which is a member of Swire Pacific, one of the largest and longest established conglomerates in Hong Kong.

Taikoo Motors specializes in the selling of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, as well as the management of various dealerships. Since its establishment in Taiwan during the 1970s, Taikoo Motors has become one of the biggest automobile distribution companies in Taiwan, both in company size and sales numbers.

It has been 30 years since Taikoo Motors first imported Volvo trucks and buses in 1978. In the unpredictable and constantly changing automobile market of Taiwan , thriving for this long is truly a remarkable achievement. Additionally, Taikoo Motors has for the past two decades also successfully handled the distribution of Volvo passenger cars and Chrysler vehicles from the US .

Taikoo Motors continued its expansion by acquiring several other distributorships, including Kia in 1999, Volkswagen passenger cars in 2000, Audi in 2002, Volkswagen light commercial vehicles in 2004, Harley-Davidson motorcycles in 2007, ?koda in 2009,and Vespa in 2011. Today, Taikoo Motors is the most diverse automobile distribution group in Taiwan .
