KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Fully committed to provide the relevant SLA service to our customer;
- Work independently to trouble shoot system issues and defects;
- Ability to improved process and enhanced efficiency of his team;
- Manage patches and releases into production (including rollbacks, etc);
- Be available for on-call roster;
- Assist in on-going load and performance testing activities;
- Work with R&D team on defect prioritization and resolution;
- Report to manager on progress and areas of technical responsibility;
- Prepare relevant maintenance documentation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or relevant industry certifications;
- Good Communication skills in English (if possible in French too);
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills;
- Experience working with remote data centres including remote installations, application upgrades, maintenance, and run-book configuration;
- Can work out of hours;
- Ability to communicate technically difficult concepts and to document work procedures for a technical audience;
- Ability to create working solutions in cost constrained environments;
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Experience working in a fast paced environment;
- Self-starting;
- Fluent in English;
- Global perspective and familiar with working across multiple time-zones.

Essential technical skills
- Experience with high-volume web-based fault-tolerant distributed web sites/services production environment;
- Experience in high availability (99.9) cloud based services or similar enterprise experience;
- Knowledge of Telecom Protocols GSM, SS7, SMPP, ...;
- Experience in Developing Automatic Scripting task (shell based);
- Experience in an Agile environment:
o Structuring systems architecture for multiple deployments per week (not once per quarter) and developing processes, policies, and automation for multiple deployments per week;
o Understands and champions continuous integration and creating the infrastructure required for continuous builds;
- Experience with the following operating systems:
o Linux (Redhat based);
o VM Cluster.
- Experience with the following services, frameworks, and tools:
o MySQL;
o Nagios;
o Syslog;
o Puppet;
o Hadoop.
- Knowledge/experience of:
o Security policy creation;
o Network and host based intrusion monitoring;
o Firewalling;
o Web application security.
