? Assist the EHS Director in the planning, creation and implementation of the Health and Safety policy for CRH China, that is in line with local legislation and CRH Group Policy
? Work closely with Joint venture operations to coach China best practice Safety policy and procedures
? Develop programs with joint venture and associate companies that lead to the full incorporation of CRH Safety rules within these operations
o Advise on CRH Safety best practice
o Assist in developing Safety training programs
o Participate in safety site audits
o Develop corrective action programs following on from audits
? Assist in analyzing site workforce accidents and injuries to determine where process changes, communication or training needs improvement.
? Recommend and implement program changes where necessary to continuously strive for a higher environmental, health and safety standard

Other building products operations include Halfen Construction Accessories, and Sureblock. An investment by Halfen in a production unit in Inner Mongolia is currently being commissioned. In 2007 the CRH China Representative office was established and a wholly foreign owned subsidiary CRH Management (Beijing) was established in 2010.
