Main mission

In charge of coordinating and modelling technical feasibility studies and project engineering in an efficient and timely manner. He will also ensure that all feasibility studies and project engineering take into account local and EDF Rules & Regulations for Health, Safety and Environment.

Project engineering covers conceptual design of new facilities, retrofit and expansion of existing facilities, evaluation of capital expenditure and operating costs of facilities such as Cogeneration, Renewable Energy plants, Centralised Heating and Cooling systems.

He will work in close relationship with the DELC Technical Expert(s) , ECH Engineering Department (DE) and R&D

He will work on technical specification of equipment, tools and other technical/operational related activities

Main Responsibility

To deliver reliable and timely technical feasibility or engineering studies in coordination with EDF experts and/or specialised engineering companies

u Audits and Feasibility Study

- Responsible for coordinating technical due diligences and technical project feasibility studies in coordination with EDF Engineering Department(s), the EE Technical Expert(s), local entities and third parties (if any)

- Issue a complete audit report detailing potential operational risks & opportunity, with proposed capital expenditures and estimated operating costs

- Review draft agreements for technical and operational risk mitigation

u Project Engineering

- Select appropriate tools & systems required for conceptual engineering in coordination with EDF corporate

- Optimise work output to meet project requirements and deadlines.

- Draw on group (or third party resources) to meet project goals and timetable

- Review timely all major third party engineering design together with EDF engineering department(s) and DELC Technical Expert(s)

u Energy Management

- Analyse and consolidate energy consumption reports for operations

- Organize energy audits on site and proposes solutions for energy savings

- Implement operational tools for energy management

Requirements:

Basic requirements: (Education/Qualification/Language/Computer etc.)

Master in Engineering from a reputable university

Knowledge in using simulation software

Professional experience and skills / Technical Knowledge

At least 2 years of professional experience in China in the energy sector, preferably in Energy Efficiency, District Energy, Distributed Energy and/or Renewable Energy

Capabilities required

Excellent oral and written Chinese

Excellent oral and written English

French would be a plus
