JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
Responsible for sporting the Regional Sales Manager and Outside Sales Reps requests from agencies, corporations and customers. Generally support the team on their sales calls, manages sales tools, agencies events, as well as a sales territory which they are responsible for and seeking new business with proven data bases in an orderly and systemic fashion, among others. Coordinate and facilitate AMDs/ACMs; coordinate and process manual commission payments, code invoices, purchase office supplies.
Responsibilities
Act as liaison for customers to evaluate, resolve and respond to contractual, pricing, customer service, reservations & refund issues, reflecting the company's standards regarding content, tone and character while proactively selling/promoting UA products and services using all forms of communication offering solutions while maintaining the integrity of the brand and overcoming selling obstacles.
Support to the Outside Sales, handling phone calls at the office daily.
Support travel agencies and corporations on waitlist confirmations, fare/contracts issues.
Coordinate with HDQ travel agencies inquiries regarding inhibited PCC/Office ID and coordinate with CTO payment of violation fees when applicable and release of access to CO' inventory, coordinate and audit ADM/ACM processes, log agencies commission letters, assure has proper documentation on various processes to comply with internal audit.
Responsible for receiving, storing and distributing promotional material.
Utilize technology (SI, MI, UCS and others) to conduct statistical analysis on sales data/info to measure, qualify and provide reporting on market/client performance.
Effectively distribute, track and evaluate legal/ethical usage of sales tools maximizing value and return on investment.
Provide local reports, as no-show monitoring, debit memos, groups monitoring, and customers' databases, among others.
Handle groups' requests in some countries.
When required, attend, and/or plan/coordinate industry and trade organization events/meetings promoting UA visibility while networking with key decision makers.
Coordinate shipments or demonstrations of products/materials for sales team.
Ability to interface with all levels of internal and external management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent school leaving certificate required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Strong communication, sales and analytical skills required
Proficiency in key business computer applications (MS Office, UCS/Prism, SI, LI) required
Basic ticketing and fare knowledge required
Proven ability to set priorities and allocate time and resources appropriately required
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
Experience
Minimum of three years of sales/marketing experience within the travel industry required
Two years general airline experience preferred
Other
Some travel required
Must be legally authorized to work in China for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position
Salary Scale:
To be determined, competitive with local market pay for similar roles.
