HSEC Advisor

The Chinalco-Rio Tinto Exploration ("CRTX") company was established in 2011 to explore for copper, coal, potash, iron ore, nickel and borates in the People's Republic of China. The company is a joint venture between two of the world's leading minerals and metals producers - Chinalco and Rio Tinto. To assist with growing and developing CRTX's business in China, we are looking for a HSEC Advisor to join the CRTX Beijing office, reporting to HSEC Manager.

The successful candidate will join a highly driven team focused on delivering on the CRTX vision of being a world leader in mineral exploration and discovering tier one mineral resources using creativity, integrity and world class technologies. The HSEC Advisor benefits from Chinalco and Rio Tinto's combined strengths, the embedded expertise offering a unique career opportunity to the right individual.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

?Implementing the specialist component of the regional HSEC plans and budgets in order to align to the CRTX strategy;

? Providing technical capability in specialist area in order to mitigate risks and ensure compliance ;

? Managing all compliance related activities at an exploration project level within one's specialist area to ensure standards are met;

? Providing leadership in HSEC by anticipating current and future risks and managing these;

?Managing all HSEC related activities within one's area to ensure standards are met;

?Ensuring that exploration data and documents are properly managed throughout the discovery pipeline and that the most updated and complete version is stored in an accessible and secure infrastructure;

?Facilitating change by understanding the principles and impact of that change, and acting accordingly;

?Other tasks assigned by HSEC manager.

To be considered for this role you will have:

? Bachelor degree in a relevant exploration discipline;

? At least 3 years relevant experience in mining and exploration industry;

? candidates with HSEC systems or HSEC Audit training will be preferred;

? Good interpersonal and communication skills;

? Competency in English language desirable.
