Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced analyst to join our product development organization. The candidate
will develop test scenarios covering the entire breadth of the Ariba applications from the customer usage
perspective. This position will work with customers, product managers, developers & test engineers to
develop and maintain testing scenarios.
Primary responsibilities include:
o Focus on customer scenarios (end to end) and work horizontally across the Ariba products
o Build out use cases and scenarios for features by working with solution management and
development leads
o Translating customer scenarios into testing requirements
o Work with engineers on understanding scenarios, and reviewing test cases to ensure that they
meet the testing approach; Suggest detailed testing strategy for features
o Work with customers directly in beta programs with their testing scenarios
o Analyzing failures and establishing root cause
o Proposing automation strategies and writing unit tests
Knowledge and Skills:
o Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
o 4+ years of experience
o Strong domain knowledge in procurement and sourcing business processes would be helpful
o Experience working with the customers directly
o Knowledge/experience with software testing methodologies and processes
o Ability to solve problems from simple to complex and use creative thinking to develop various
approaches to problems
o Strong written and verbal communications skills.
o Ability to collaborate with diverse group in a cross functional organization
Hands-on any of the database (Oracle, SQL queries etc.) and XML would be preferred
Experience in complete QA methodology, writing test plans, test cases and execution plans.
