职位描述：
Summary

Provides Information Technology support for designated UIC locations in Asia area, including location and wide area networks, Lotus Notes, and SAP. Interfaces with I/T personnel at other locations (primarily Corporate) to identify and analyze issues and implement solutions.

Principal Accountabilities

        1. Implements and maintains local area networks in conformance with UIC standards.

2. Interprets company policies in the IT area.

3. Communicates and maintains IT hardware and software standards, in conjunction with Corporate IT, taking into account the needs of the local offices.

4. Implements new systems (examples: Lotus Notes, Excel, WinWord, SAP) for employees according to project plans.

5. Installs and maintains wide area network equipment and services in cooperation with the Telecommunications organization in Binghamton.

6. Installs and maintains local office servers in accordance with UIC standards.

7. Provides first level support to local offices for PC, network, and application use. Consults with Corporate Information Systems staff and/or outside sources to solve problems encountered in local offices.

8. Assures the efficient and economical utilization of resources.

9. Assists in development of strategic information systems plans.

10. Establishes standards for training and cross-training activities.

11. Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline OR a relevant Associate's degree OR 5-7 years of directly related experience and on-the-job training. Knowledge and experience in data telecommunications, local area networks, PC based applications, and host based applications is required.
