Regional Chief Engineer (based in Shanghai Regional Office)
区域总工程师

• 职位概述 :

1. To assist Group Chief Engineer to establish engineering directives and to govern engineering administrative & policies which are smoothly implemented in Regal hotels in China.
2. To monitor overall performance of Engineering Department in China stream as well as to ensure work smoothly in hotel operations.
3. To responsible for efficient implementation of new hotel project in China during pre-opening & post-opening stage and to ensure all systems, facilities & equipments are operated in efficiency and optimum utilization.

• 基本职责 :

1. For New Project in China :

• Closely co-ordination with Group Chief Engineer and Project & Development Department.
• Regular meeting with Hotel Owner side and all concerned contractors / suppliers.
• Liaise with the hotel consultant, local Bureau and the design institution, to ensure that everything is in line with our expectation.
• Professional comments in E&M systems, facilities and equipments, ensure that all hotel installation works should fully comply with the local regulations.
• Ensure that all new hotel projects should be done according to Regal Brand Minimum Standard.
• Before Hotel Chief Engineer on board, daily monitoring in the progress of hotel project;
• During the pre-opening stage, act the role of Hotel Chief Engineer while in necessity.
• Fault findings and submission of defects report at least once a week.
• To liaise with local government authorities and departments to ensure that statutory requirements relating to environment, safety and health hazards are fully complied with.
• To perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

2. For Hotel Operation in China :

• To conduct the induction training programme, orientation & familization programme to hotel Chief Engineer.
• To conduct the regal Minimum Operating Standard to hotel Chief Engineer.
• To conduct the Management Audit (Engineering) for Regal hotels in China once a year.
• To conduct Environmental Assessment for Regal hotels in China once a year.
• Coordinate with hotel Chief Engineer to plan, organize and direct preventive maintenance programmers for all mechanical/electrical machinery, equipment, fixtures and plant within hotel premises.
• Coordinate with hotel Chief Engineer to plan and prepare department budget including purchases of building supplies, maintenance supplies and equipment so as to maintain an acceptable level of replacement parts in the department.
• Coordinate with hotel Chief Engineer to assign and distribute work to subordinates to achieve maximum productivity.
• After hotel opened, act the role of hotel CE while in necessity.
• To undertake feasibility studies on specific engineering or building works of the hotel to improve on existing facilities when necessary.
• To liaise with various government authorities and departments to ensure that statutory requirements relating to building control, safety and health hazards are complied with.
• To liaise and contact outside contractors for hotel projects and renovations.
• To evaluate all submissions by consultants on works to be done by outside contractors; prepare construction specification, receive and analyzes contract bids and supervise contracted projects.
• To confer with consultants to determine condition of equipment, machinery, plant, fixtures or property and repair when necessary.
• To design and fabricate articles or devices with existing materials, resources and facilitates for use within hotel.
• To advise and assist management on internal campaign and activities of energy conservation program.
• To obtain information and knowledge to keep track of industry practice, technological advancement, new methods, equipment and materials.
• To perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

• 职位要求 :
  
  1. Experience :
• 20 years' experience in engineering field at China.
• Experience in hotel industry with minimum 10 years senior supervisory position is essential.

• Degree or Master holder in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (HK, China or Oversee).
• Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, electrical and ELV system.
• Safety Training Certificate from the local recognized authorities or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate from the local recognized authorities or equivalent.
• HV / LV Certificate / License from the local recognized authorities or equivalent is preferred.
• Member of a professional engineer body from the local authorities or from oversea professional associations / institutions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint etc.).
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
