Job dimensions
1. Work with sales team to reduce AR percentage of sales and overdue. Timely follow up with AR collection to meet the company target.
2. Ensure reasonable credit limit and credit term is set for each customer by regular review. Closely work with sales, customer service team to enhance SOP and credit control.
3. Daily credit release for sales order to comply internal and Group credit policies.
4. Ensure Accounts Receivable Ledger maintained in an accurate and timely manner and complete voucher filling every month.
5. To take active role in AR reconciliation with customer.
6. To prepare AR aging report, month end report, various analysis and ad-hoc reports. To highlight the existing, potential issues and credit risk analysis.
7. To keep record of all correspondence with customers on overdue to ensure that evidence of actions taken is always available and that this information can be used for possible legal actions.
8. Manage invoicing and output VAT reconciliation by month.
9. Provide sales, margin and overdue information to help the performance appraisal of sales team.
10. Project support, mainly on SAP/OA enhancement.
11. Supervise AR and credit function on daily basis.
12. To carry out other duties requested by Management.
13. 2 divisions (Ind and C&C) with 5 SBU (15 SIU) in five legal entities
Activities
1. AR/revenue accounting
2. Daily credit and margin control over shipment
3. Collection management including cash flow forecast
4. Customer credit performance review
5. Invoicing and Output VAT management
6. Commission and rebate management
7. Aging report and provision accounting
8. Bad debts cases follow up, including legal actions
9. Free equipment to customer control
10. Process improvement in credit control
11. SAP – credit control
Context and environment
1. Compliance with GAAP, credit policies and VAT law and regulations
2. Timely and accurately submit meaningful sales report and aging reports before the deadline
3. Timely report any risks in credit and closely follow the actions for collection and bad debts
4. SAP go live from 2012 Jan and many enhancement requirements
5. Co-operations from internal finance team members, A lot of communications with sales team.
6. High pressure of cash flow forecast and actual collection
7. Occasional domestic/international travel
Accountabilities
1. Timely release approved shipment according to DOA
2. Closely work with Sales team to ensure collection on time.
3. Regularly review customer credit performance and timely adjust the credit control in SAP
4. Ensure all margins approval is in line with DOA
5. Timely and accurately submit aging report with meaningful proposal for overdue
Qualifications / experience required
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Accounting or Financial Management
2. Five years’ experience in Accounting and Finance
3. Work under pressure, team work, leadership, positive and good communication skills
4. Good exposure in credit management, analysis
5. Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
7. SAP key user is preferred
