Technical Manager, Production unit, Guangdong, China

Company description :
? A WFOE company operated by a French company part of a larger MNC dedicated to the
manufacturing of electronic components (magnetic parts, non IC), targeted at both export
and domestic sales.
? Start up in 2008, as a result of a buy-out from former JV (established in 1998).
? About 150 people. (broadly 100 to 200, based on projects and seasonality), mostly blue
collar.
? Location : Nanhai, Foshan area (Guangdong, China)
Position’s strategic objective:
? Manage the technical department in charge of product localization, process industrialization,
maintenance, continuous improvement
Key responsibilities :
? Steer the product and process localization projects in coordination with the teams located in
France. Focus on being compliant with our quality system and on respecting the various
steps such as prototyping, Offtools, start of production.
? Identify and qualify the subcontractors in compliance with quality standards and corporate
policies. Set in place monitoring of efficiency parameters and organize planning of audits
? Propose and motivate improvement of the organization in order to leverage efficiency and
competency. Build the training programme to adjust competencies of the team in line with
strategy of the company
? Assist the production and quality department in solving the quality issues by structuring the
problem analysis and offering support with technical skills
? Participate to the definition and implement the continuous improvement program permitting
the positive evolution of the company figures (Quality and productivity) based on the
monitoring of the key indicators while being fully compliant with our quality standards
? Build a positive and strong communication with team in France in order to better manage
the current localization projects. Build a good network with the technical team located in
France to get assistance in daily situations
? Organize technical support to customers located in China in relationship with the sales
department and technical support in France
Profile :
? Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or magnetism, electronics, material science, …
? Experience in Project Management
? Experience in working with international company
? Familiar with ISO 9001 and automotive quality standards
? Good command of English is a must.
