PURPOSE:

- Provide pattern technical support service to the factories, merchandisers, quality controllers and group retailers regarding block pattern, grading, sampling, fitting, sewing, construction, workmanship, pattern checking and size specification.

- Assess, identify and rectify the pattern discrepancies if any.

- Work with the factories and customers on all pattern technical issues.

- Ensure and follow up the pattern making within the timeframe.

- Manage the pattern database.

- Give expertise suggestion on the grading when necessary.

- “Sew” patterns to create 3D samples.

- Other duties assigned.

KEY OUTPUTS:

- Standard sets of patterns according to retailer specifications.

- Maintain pattern data base.

- Produce accurate correctly sewn 3D samples.

- Provide technical inputs and support to GPS merchandisers, QA, QC and factories / suppliers.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extensive knowledge on using CAD.

- 3~5 years related working experience of working for buying office/ trading company and has good product knowledge.

- Extensive knowledge on paper pattern, grading and marker making, good command of computerized software.

- Strong experience in fitting, workmanship, sewing, construction and different kind of fabrication.

- Strong ability to solve technical problem.

- Ability to prioritize workloads.

- Able to work independently & communicate well with factories, merchandisers, quality controllers and customers.

- Good communication skill. Good time management.

- Good in spoken and written English and Chinese.

- Proficient in PC skills (e.g. Ms Office, etc.)

- Occasional travelling is required.
