Job Summary:
Field Product Manager is responsible for supporting the metal gauging product line in Asia.
The Field Product Manager will be responsible for providing market requirements for the region and countries in the region. He will also help formulate product strategies, capturing customer feedback, and provide input to the strategic planning process. He will work in collaboration with BU marketing team and the regional sales team.
The successful candidate must be an experienced, customer-focused individual who is motivated to be hands-on when needed, conscientious and a results-oriented team player.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
? Intimate knowledge of each of sensor technologies, how they integrate into our frames and how the software interface operates
? Intimate knowledge of each of the metals application we are selling in to
? Present technical information in a clear concise organized manner
? Gather and report back to the Gauging Commercial Team the future market direction, competitive landscape, and new product requirements.
? Ability to provide technical and tactical leadership should a customer issue arise that is beyond the scope of a field service call requiring gauging resource to drive this field problem to resolution.
? Contributes to the development of an appropriate yearly product-marketing plan to achieve growth and margin objectives consistent with the BU strategic plan, to include trade show plans, attend and/or present at regional technical conferences, demo management, website contributions and advertising to support product sales and service.
? Responsible to support business and divisional leadership with input to annual operating plan (budget) and strategic plan.
Experience Qualifications:
? A four year Bachelors degree in a science or technical degree required, MBA a plus.
1. Must have 10+ years of hands-on metals processing experience. Actual gauging experience a plus.
2. Demonstrated ability in written, interpersonal and oral communication is essential.
3. Ability to understand technology and articulate strong value / benefit propositions to our customers is critical.
4. Strong computer skills in office applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel) and presentation tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS FrontPage) are critical.
? Chinese speaker with strong English language skills a must
? We are looking for an independent, assertive, self-starter with the ability to work with a diverse global team.
? Ability to travel throughout the Asia region
