Job Overview:

? Understand the customer’s business needs as well as the site capabilities in order to derive and cascade the necessary actions to the functional team.
? Effectively communicate throughout the organization and with the suppliers the mission and requirements of the Flowserve Management System.
? The individual will lead the team in the timely cost effective procurement of direct materials and strongly influence the decisions of purchasing the direct materials required to support the operational activities.
? They will demonstrate working ability in applying the tools in the planning and procurement processes. They will establish the functional structure of this team based on commodity, focus factories, or product in conjunction with the divisional lead.
? Baselines and standards will be benchmarked to realize World Class Performance. Supplier selection, rationalization assessments, and evaluations will be managed through this position.
? The supply chain strategy will be developed through the key drivers of the business unit and corporate initiatives.
? This person will be the change agent and participative proponent of the Continuous Improvement Process.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
? Execute global strategic plans for local and off-shore entities, key metrics,
o Materials cost reduction
o Supplier On-Time Delivery
o Supplier production lead-time
o Supplier quality performance and Inventory
o Supplier & number under long term contracts
? Manage regional supply base to meet business needs. Continue developing healthy, constructive supplier relationships, and continuous improvement on approved supplier rationalization.
? Build and maintain effective relationship and communications with internal customers.
? Maintain timely and accurate data with company system and reporting.
Traveling
? Total travel: 50-70%
o Outside China Approximately 10%
o Within China Approximately 90%

Experience & Education

? Undergraduate/Bachelor degree Engineering or Master in Management (any discipline)
? Minimum 10 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement and supplier quality in mechanical industries (Foundry/Materials background) that have similar manufacturing technologies used in valve/pump industries.
? Demonstrating a history of being a team player in a cross matrix organization
? Fluency in English reading, writing and speaking
? Cooperative negotiation skills
? Ability to effectively manage self and time independently
? Sense of urgency and ability to motivate others to common goals
? Knowledge and experience with CIP tools and principles is an added advantage
