Recruitment Specialist, Accounts – China

Based in Guangzhou

Bellerbys College is a group of leading independent schools in the UK providing pathways for international students to enter British universities. Due to increasing demand for UK education overseas and exciting growth in Bellerbys College, Study Group is looking for a high-calibre professional looking to develop their career in a successful education company through driving the recruitment of students from China into the college’s programmes in the UK.

This is an ideal position for a sales professional looking to move into international education, or an international education professional looking to grow into a sales and marketing role. We are seeking mature, dynamic candidates who can grow our recruitment of students through excellent relationships with our distribution networks and the provision of high level training and support of their businesses.

Main duties:

· Growing sales through established channels of partner education agents.

· Assist Recruitment Manager, Accounts and Feeder teams to develop sales and marketing plans to deliver revenue, profit and student diversity targets

· Participate in target setting and negotiation with the Account teams

• Co-ownership of sales budget for the region providing input and monitoring of spend

· Liaising between Study Group admissions team, our agency network and our campuses in the UK to ensure a high quality partnership, including resolution of enrolment and student service issues.

· Train internal and external Partner teams on programmes and destinations including entry requirements, visa requirements and programme capacity

· Conversion activities including attendance at events and discussions with potential students and their parents and offer compelling education advice and guidance

· Representing Bellerbys College and Study Group at key promotional events.

· Gaining and providing in-depth market knowledge on the UK international academic market.

· Assisting in the planning and implementation of Higher Education focused Agent training days, open days and UK familiarisation trips.

· Design and implement new initiatives to communicate with our agent network within China, using new technologies.

· Work with marketing team to drive "localisation“ of product materials

· Effectively operates in a commercial, cost focused environment

· Supports the leadership of a best in class sales team through setting and communicating high standards of performance and behaviour

Essential Criteria:

· Experience in successfully planning and executing sales and marketing strategies, ideally through an agency distribution network

· Demonstrated ability to influence the customer’s buying behaviour

· Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong commercial and business acumen, including understanding a customer’s business drivers and developing solutions in line with an organisation’s customer value proposition

· Engaging and collaborating with key people within a matrix and ‘virtual’ organisation, including ability to gain commitment from others for joint success

· Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrated ability to proactively and effectively work in a team environment

· Excellent technology skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email

· Tertiary educated, preferably in the UK

· Native Mandarin speaker

• Fluency in both oral and written English

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of promoting educational services
• Previous experience of recruiting for the tertiary university market

· Experience working in an international environment involving liaison with international offices
