The R&D Engineer, China is responsible for providing engineering support to new product development (NPD) and manufacturing transfer projects to ensure all outputs are compliant with Cook Medical quality system and local regulatory requirements for successful product registrations in China and globally when required

Job Duty:

- Follow 21CFR, ISO and other applicable standards in project work

- Utilize engineering knowledge and technical expertise to execute project work

 - Complete projects consistent with corporate and departmental objectives by engaging the efforts of other engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, quality assurance, marketing and external partners/consultants

 - Contribute to the intellectual property of the company via invention disclosures and patent applications

- Provide engineering support in improvement and implementation of medical device Quality Management System (QMS) for the local Cook entity

 - Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and manufacturing processes consistent with the requirements of pertinent regulations and Cook’s QMS

- Maintain and increase technical, medical and biomedical development knowledge related to the company’s product lines - Maintain accurate and timely reports and records - Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization to achieve company goals

- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements

- Maintain regular and punctual attendance - Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, compliance, and product-specific requirements and standards are met

- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of Cook Medical policies, procedures, and systems; maintain thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and guidance documents related to medical devices

Minimum Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Biomedical or Mechanical engineering

Extensive experience in quality management system, R&D and/or new product development (at least 2 years’ experience) in medical device industry
