Category Specialist is responsible for the global supplier/material field/project assigned to develop respective strategies, to be the key contact for internal/external stakeholders and take full account for the division purchasing efficiency improvement and strategy deployment to ensure on corporate level business continuous success.

- Working with global procurement team to develop, align and implement supplier/material field strategies based on global market/technology trend.
- Developing and implementing tools to improve global sourcing/purchasing productivity.
- Being commodity supplier and perform distribution management, evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Managing global supplier relationships and doing performance review.
- Driving commodity cost management objectives and cost savings, delivering continuous and sustainable cost reduction through supplier negotiation, new sourcing models and purchasing optimization process.
- Managing and driving global purchasing process productivity improvement plans.
- Managing and maintaining commodity database/system and global commodity supply chain and stock level to ensure supply security.
- Having close cooperation with global R&D teams for healthy components life cycle management and managing supplier audits related to the contacts compliance and sourcing processes of the commodity.

- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum 5years experience in the procurement as commodity/category buyer.
- Experience in industrial business area is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Electronics market, purchasing process, sourcing strategy, contractual and legal aspects.
- Good understanding of business practices, market dynamics and trends.
- Must have good negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English/Chinese.
- Must be excellent in office software incl. Excel, PPT, Power BI etc and have the ability to work independently in a virtual, remote environment.
