Responsibilities:

    

  The Site Manager is responsible that the site work is performed according to the contract in the most time- and cost-effective way according to NOV requirements and to the customer’s satisfaction, requirements and expectations.

    

    

    

1.     Managing the NOV Site:

    

  

    

·         Overall responsibility for Managing the NOV site activities.

    

·         Provides direct leadership and management of NOV site personnel, QC Surveyors, E&I Supervisors and Hydraulic/Mechanical specialist/Test Engineers.

    

·         Ensure that NOV has enough and qualified site team available on site.

    

·         Request to superiors (ref. the reports to paragraph) related to need for adding or removing people or specific disciplines to the site team.

    

·         Serves as the primary point of contact for the Supplier representatives, clients site visits and NOV.

    

·         Take care of client site visits in cooperation with the supplier and the site team when agreed with PM/NOV contact point.

    

·         Sign time sheets for NOV contract labor on site.

    

·         Ensure that NOV personnel and our supplier follows the NOV HSE requirements.

    

 

    

 

    

2. Facilitating site cooperation and communication:

    

                      

    

·         Works with the supplier and relevant NOV personnel to establish and ensure progress and Quality goals and communicates them to the NOV site team.

    

·         Facilitate and implement problem solving and solutions for Manufacturing challenges in cooperation with NOV site team and NOV contact points for the order.

    

·         Facilitating solutions in close cooperation with Engineering and the NOV contact point for the order when Engineering challenges occur.

    

·         Facilitate the implementation of changes when drawing revisions or changes occur.

    

·         Facilitate solutions to resolve technical challenges.

    

·         Set up weekly meetings with supplier, site team and NOV contact point for the order.

    

·         Ensure daily communication related to site issues with supplier and relevant NOV persons.

    

·         Site Manager shall keep the Purchaser, SCM responsible and/or the NOV contact point for the order informed.

    

 

    

 

    

3.    Ensure progress and oversight on NOV products

    

                      

    

·         Follow up the progress and proactively ensure collaboration between supplier and NOV.

    

·         Oversee and ensure that projects progress according to plans and facilitate communication and solutions where needed.

    

·         Follow up that Company Provide items (CPI) are being received and proactively address need for CPI parts according to build plan with SCM planners and/or the NOV contact point for the order.

    

·         Ensure that progress is verified in EPP

    

·         Have full overview over ongoing NOV projects and delivery schedules on site.

    

 

    

 

    

4.    Ensuring correct Quality

    

                

    

·         Responsible to ensure that NOV Specifications, Quality Clauses, drawings and Quality Requirements are being met.

    

·         Coordinate all NOV inspection and test activities for NOV Supervisors and Surveyors on site.

    

·         Ensure that inspections are carried out and documented according to ITP including third party witnessing and Client visits.

    

·         Participate in Meetings with clients where required.

    

·         Ensure that CPI are stored sufficiently and ensure well established routines for receiving as per specifications and requirements.

    

 

    

 

    

5.    Ensuring that NOV HSE requirements are being met

    

                

    

·         Ensure that NOV personnel and our supplier follows the NOV HSE requirements.

    

 

    

 

    

Qualifications/ Requirements:

    

 

    

 

    

            

    

·         Candidate must possess necessary technical training with 5+ years of Rig Equipment experience.

    

·         Candidate must possess valid Technical Competence from a recognized education/training system.

    

·         Candidate must possess strong leadership and organizational skills. The position requires the ability to take charge of groups of NOV personnel to implement the requirements related to the order.

    

·         The candidate must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere comprised of individuals from many organizations and cultures with varying skill levels.

    

·         Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills.  The Site Manager must be able to grasp technical issues related to the Planning, Fabrication, assembly and Testing of the Equipment and be able to develop and implement technical solutions.

    

·         Candidate must possess good communication skills

    

·         The candidate must be diplomatic and solution oriented but has the ability to act with authority when the situation requires it.

    

·         Candidate must be able to read technical drawings related to the Manufacturing and assembly of the Equipment

    

·         Candidate must be a self-starter, well organized, and have the ability to exercise good judgment and work independently.
