Job Summary:



Provide the direction for optimum sourcing of the assigned commodities for the various sites in China. The senior purchaser/purchaser is considered as the corporate expert for the assigned commodities and leads the development and implementation of the global supply base strategy in China. Support the global investment/MRO material group manager for investment/MRO strategy implementation. Define the supply strategy and negotiating with suppliers to achieve the targets in China.

Responsibilities:

· Organize and execute the bundling of the demands of the different sites and projects for optimum utilization of procurement power.

· Develop and lead sourcing strategy to source new suppliers for the assigned commodities, such as equipment, spare parts and services, etc.

· Actively influences the sourcing process during development phase by supplier selection, negotiation of prices, and sourcing decision.

· Drives annual negotiations to constantly improve the cost situation.

· Supporting global MGM (material group management) team for investment/MRO or other commodities strategy implementation.

· Ensure the goods and services delivered by suppliers meet the specification, environmental requirements and operation needs with cost effectively

· Reporting & controlling of defined information and figures to make results transparent.

· Negotiation & Closure of global or regional frame contracts / major projects within all sites in China.

· Supplier Management (as a member of a cross-functional team) to ensure the best suppliers and to guarantee an optimum supply chain.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in technical or other related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in the equipment/MRO Business in Multinational companies.

- Market knowledge (within China and globally) is essential, especially in equipment and MRO area.

- Excellent leadership / negotiation / communication/interpersonal relations skills

- Team working spirit

- Fluent English, writing, reading and speaking is a must.

- Willingness and ability to travel across China
