Position Title : Assistant Tax Manager

Report Line :  Tax Manager

Department   : Finance   Subordinate : 1

 

 Responsibilities:

 

1)   Tax Compliance

• Lead team to work with tax agency to ensure the proper monthly/quarterly/yearly tax filing for branch office;

• Prepare tax filing for head office and perform monthly tax reconciliation to ensure the accurate bookkeeping;

• Work with group tax and consulting firm to prepare TP documentation;

• Supervise team to complete tax registration for non-trade payment;

• Assist in dealing with Tax authorities' queries as well as assessments and tax audits;

• Lead team to support business operation, provide timely solution on all tax related issues for new store opening, such as tax invoices management, VAT general taxpayer and filings etc;

• Provide practical advice to the internal business partner on financial and tax operational issues.

   

   b)  Tax projects

• Assist in ad hoc projects, including TP method review, business operation tax planning, etc;

• Assist in continuously driving process simplification and standardization of tax processes;

• Support line manager to monitor the evolution of tax legislation and prepare for any necessary changes/response.

   

  Qualification:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

• 4+ years tax experience with tax firms or multinational corporations, experience with retailing/FMCG is a plus

• Good skills of Microsoft Office, experience with SAP is preferred

• Good team player, honest with integrity, and willing to help when needed

• Can work under pressure
