Summary:

Coordinates customer orders with assigned regional sales and service offices to insure that quality orders are received, scheduled, and delivered to the customer's expectations.

Principal Accountabilities:

Works with assigned regional sales team to insure customer satisfaction through quality order management.

Performs as the order control point for customer order processing. Works directly with customer and manufacturing teams to provide high quality and timely order management.

Reviews final quotes and contracts provided by sales offices to insure "buildable" machine configurations; identifies non-standard terms and conditions to insure that UIC can fulfil the contract terms. If customer makes changes after original order, obtains new price and configuration from sales engineer and makes appropriate changes in the order.

Follows up with customer to obtain the purchase order prior to beginning assembly.

For special orders (customer request for non-standard machines or configurations), works with product specialists and engineering to determine price, feasibility and projected delivery date.

Schedules production by using MAPICS factory loading screens and consulting with production managers to insure that the various parts of an order come together in time for shipment. If problems arise or priorities change, talks to product managers, sales engineers and production managers to juggle production and renegotiate with customers.

Follows the progress of each order using visual observation, milestone charts, checklists or project management software, to insure that all necessary assembly steps occur and documentation (product manuals, letter of credit) arrives at the right time to insure on-time shipment.

Obtains Division head approval for field returns, including restocking charge, credit to be applied to customer account, and where and to whom the machine should be returned.

Confirms installation details prior to machine arrival, follows up with customer afterwards to confirm that everything went according to plan.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or other appropriate discipline, above 3 years of related experience in Capital Equipment import/export into China. Strong English communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focused mindset. Strong team player, capable of working in a highly flexible environment.
