Major Accountabilities:

-Track plant specific downtime issues of critical equipment, develop and implement plans to drive higher uptime
-Responsibilities range from batch house to load building where influences to production occur.
-Assist in the coordination of the maintenance skills training, mentoring plant engineers, and assisting in regional succession planning
-Work with the plants on individual plant production database records to identify documented lost time and develop matrix for downtime and machine equipment performance.
-Drive the plants, GOSC, and regional procurement to develop maintenance activities that support standardization and inventory reductions
-Drives culture of preventative maintenance
-Builds maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities within China plants, through identification of training and development needs, delivery and coordination of training to close identified skill gaps.
-Develop and facilitates networking activities by (including but not limited to) facilitating monthly conference calls with China plant SME's, promoting utilization of collaboration spaces, sharing network vision to China plants, issuing monthly reports.
-Supports China Facilities advancement in the preparation of specifications and requirements for capital projects throughout China.
-Provides and/or helps coordinate and ensure support is delivered to China facilities for new equipment installation or complex troubleshooting activities.
-Develops and promotes operational and maintenance best practices, involving all stakeholders in their development and implementation, leveraging LSS methodologies. Ensure compliance in China through the facilitation and involvement in workshops and/or audits
-Supervise / manage the performance, development, attendance and behaviors of staff. Ensure all staff are aware and follow employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, discrimination and O-I HR policies
-Ensure EH&S issues are reviewed and incorporated into specifications and practices where appropriate

Requirements:

-Plant engineering and/or preventative maintenance experience
-Fluent in the English language (written and verbal)
-Strong project management and facilitation skills
-Understanding of the priorities that exist in a manufacturing production environment and ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, continuous improvement solutions in a timely manner while building the capability of the personnel
-Strong knowledge of leading EHS practices in the glass manufacturing industry
-A high degree of computer literacy including, but not limited to Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-This role will require at least 50% travel throughout China; possible overseas travel may be required
