Responsibility
l Deployment of Pricing Tool: As the Pricing lead, work with functional teams to design and deploy the new pricing tool and the accompanying processes. Manage the implementation of the pricing tool from start to end (e.g. requirements gathering, design, tool development, user acceptance testing, training and deployment). Ensure proper stakeholder communication and alignment. Work closely with the functional teams to deliver effective change management outcome.
l Data Management: Work closely with Sales and Finance to shape the development of the performance management system. Develop a good understanding of the data structure in the organization and identify data and system improvements. Work with the team to introduce useful system enhancements to improve the data quality.
l Dashboard and Analytics: Continuously improve the pricing dashboard to provide useful visualization and insights for the country teams to track their performance on pricing and profitability. Work with the sales team to identify pricing gaps and develop actionable plans to improve profitability.
l Pricing Structure: Develop and implement a standardized best in class pricing structure and process across functions, incorporating useful pricing KPIs and metrics to guide decision making and pricing governance. Actively seek buy-in and engage the stakeholders to reach this end goal.
l Pricing Best Practices: Steward the utilization, maintenance & improvement of the pricing best practices to improve pricing processes. Support regular collection and use of competitive information to improve quality of decision-making.
l Pricing Review: Lead the process of pricing proposals and providing recommendation for approvals; Drive improvements in visibility/ performance of product margins.
l Pricing Distribution and Analysis: Identify margin improvement opportunities through product pricing analysis & reviews. Improve distribution of low margin pricing, negative margin products and customers. Provide reviews on discount pricing, distributor incentive schemes and retailer incentive schemes.
l Margin Management: Provide clarity on forward margin/ cost outlook and develop pricing recommendations. Evaluate production costs and raw material cost trends to align on pricing decisions. Support balance of margin & materiality decisions for profitable growth.
l Pricing Governance: Stewards pricing practices and compliance.
l Leadership: Build organizational capability in pricing. Strengthen relationship & teamwork of stakeholders involved in pricing analysis & implementation.
l Supervisory: Manage 3 direct reports
Requirements
· Degree holder, with more than 10 years working experience in consumer goods or automotive aftermarket industries.
· At least 8 years of current/ previous pricing and/ or performance management experience will be preferred
· Experience in leading projects from start to end across different functions and teams, with ability to engage with stakeholders of different levels.
· Experience in working with data and systems and is comfortable to roll up the sleeves and deep dive into the data to identify useful ways in converting complex data into useful insights.
· Demonstrate business acumen and negotiation skills, supported by strong commercial and financial analysis.
· Able to apply product/ brand positioning and customer tiering to pricing strategies.
· Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, mathematical and analytical skills.
· A good sense of finance or accounting principles will be helpful.
· Operates independently, demonstrates resilience and thrives in uncertainty.
· Strong leadership experience to coach the team members and to improve team capability.
