130129 Senior Quality Engineer

Sandvik Materials Technology, a world-leading manufacturer of high value-added products in advanced materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials. The position would directly report to SMT R&D Manager, below please refer to the job description:

Key performance areas:

· Responsible for setting up and maintain the quality system within SMT R&D China.

· Be knowledgeable with various standards and be the specialist around different industrial /National Standard,

· Establish Inventory of Various China market standards, regulations, International standards

· Be the internal trainer of the Standards to Sandvik employees

· Be the internal consultant to support the local SMT production- and sales units globally with matters concerning how to handle and to understand the requirements in product standards from China National Standards, ASME, ASTM, NACE as well as customers specifications within the field of pressure vessels, energy, automotive and nuclear.

· Support European and North American mills to be qualified according to various Chinese standards, like HAF 604,

· Act as the local link in China to the SMT Quality organization in Sweden

· To participate in customer meetings, contract reviews, seminars or conferences as a specialist on quality issues

· On behalf of Sandvik act as contact and/or to attend the Standards revision or establishment.

Your profile:

· 5 years of working experience within the field of Quality Management

· Able to communicate in English without problems, orally and in writing. Able to write technical reports in English.

· Major is MSc Materials Engineering, Business Administration or similar.

· Approved lead auditor according to ISO 9000 series.

· Know-how about Quality Management Systems, applicable international (product) standards, customer specifications and requirements.

· Has the capability to analyze Quality problems and prioritize corrective actions

· Experience in Quality work

As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
