BUSINESS TITLE: General Manager – PU Tube, Zhenjiang

REPORT TO: BU Manager, Customized products, PA Tube
WORK LOCATION: Zhenjiang, Jiangsu

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. As a head of Tube PU Zhenjiang, be responsible for P&L, capital efficiency, manufacture and supplies excellence i.e. stability, efficiency, on time delivery and continuous improvement.
2. Has ultimate responsibility to lead for ensuring the Sandvik EHS policy implemented, to establish and sustain a high standard of Environment, Health and Safety in the local organization.
3. Be fully responsible for manufacturing and delivering the designated quality from the unit and drives the increase of its competitiveness against rivals.
4. Be the ultimate driver of the PU for manufacture and supply operational excellence, to develop and maintain a high standard of cost efficiency, stability, process efficiency, on time delivery, and capital efficiency, to lead the organization lean and agile for both short term and long term success.
5. Ensure the organization understand the deliver according to the target through clearly defined target setting and performance management process.
6. As the local Sandvik senior representative in the interaction with different external parties, i.e. government bodies, suppliers, etc.
7. Coordinate the issues within the same company code which could have impact one to another or implication.
8. Act in One-Sandvik way to ensure synergy is always optimized cross units.
9. Be responsible for the employer branding in the local territory on behalf of Sandvik.
10. Communicate and report to various Sandvik stakeholders for the site issue related.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. More than 5 years of experience with similar role with GM and Production Management positions in an International Corporation.
2. Bachelor degree of above, engineering background is preferred.
3. Deep understanding and hands-on experience to implement LEAN-principles into own organization.
4. Solid experience regarding performance management and change management.
5. Good ability in presentation and communication to top management, public groups and board of directors.
6. Fluent in English and Chinese is mandatory. Ability to understand and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents in English and Chinese.
