SCOPE AND IMPACT OF JOB

Supervisory responsibilities

Lead all polymer plant and equipment projects in China

Responsible for all polymer activities in China and report of these activities to the Head of Asia Pacific in Singapore

Drive local polymer sales team and the front sales team to achieve the order intake target for polymer applications in China

Develop a sales strategy for the Chinese Market and ensure that it is inline with the global and APA polymer sales strategy.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Polymer Team in China

Promote Sulzer Polymer portfolio to the customers

Actively participate at conferences and fairs

Write technical article in scientific journals

Plans marketing and acquisition trips

Prepares technical and commercial tenders, including attending at technical/clarification/negotiation meetings, attending at commercial bidding and contract negotiation discussions.

Provides accurate sales forecast and issues market reports.

Ensures that the business objectives are met within the defined timeline

Actively contributes at internal sales meetings

Supports other countries in meetings their business targets (India, Singapore, Switzerland)


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Related work experience

Minimum 10 years of experience as technical sales and/or key account sales in the field of polymer, equipment/plant solutions for polymer industry preferably. Any hands-on work experience is highly welcomed.

Formal education or equivalent

Mandatory: Master degree in Petrochemical / Chemical / Polymer engineering

Preferable: Master degree and/or PhD in Polymer engineering

Skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Good negotiation skills

Able to promote/sell complete process solutions as well as equipment

Outstanding presentation skills for oral presentations at international conferences

Excellent in both oral & written English and Chinese


Other

Ready to work under pressure.

Team-work oriented, flexible and strongly committed to achieve results.

Availability for frequent traveling.

Conscious to work in an international environment
