BASIC FUNCTIONS

? Establish the conceptual and stylish direction and produce design solution with creative idea and visual impact for a variety of brand and product activities such as corporate/branding communication, corporate identity, advertising, books, magazines, posters, product package, exhibition, showroom, display, promotion.

? Provide art direction for photography and video.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

？- Assist the A&P senior specialist in photography/video strategy and planning.
？- Work as part of a team with copywriter, project, Web and PR and communicate with different departments e.g. product team, trade marketing, sales team to fully understand job objective and requirement and interpret these needs into creative concept, contribute ideas and design artwork to suit purpose.
？- Provide art direction for photography/video, i.e. enhance subject’s appearance, lighting, interesting angel, set up material suggestion, 3D visual, video storyboard, animation, draw attention to highlight particular aspect of the subject.
？- Direct and supervise all artwork, layout design, review illustrative material to determine if it confirms to standard and specifications.
？- Develop creative brief, evaluate the cost and benefit to find proper vendor e.g. design agency and production house to ensure them provide qualified layout/final art/color separation/ production material/ craftsmanship and etc within budget.
？- Present finalized creative ideas, concept, layout by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
？- Provide guidance, direction and supervision to control all graphic, photo shooting, videos quality.
？- Observe, review and collect competitor’s up to date literature and graphic information. Understand the market tendency and up-to-date technology of the industry. Translate and explain all these information and explore implication how to improve and differentiate Kohler from competition.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

？- With a minimum of 3 years solid working experience of art director especially working for 4A advertising agency.
？- Have good drafting abilities and sense of space planning and photography. Have good knowledge and thorough understanding from technic to procedure of photography, graphic design. Be familiar with interior design materials and understand market tendency.
？- Familiar with the television advertising production process and good story logic.
？- Good command of MS office software such as powerpoint, word, excel a must. Good command of kinds of art and design software packages, e.g. photoshop, illustrator and IN design.
？- With general knowledge of marketing communication and promotion is a definite advantage
？- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
？- Have good persuasion and presentation skills.
？- Able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously, manage project and budget control.
？- University design, interior design, photography, advertising, art and design related course, preferably educated overseas.
？- Good command of English and Chinese;
