A world famous FMCG Company is looking for an Assistant Product Development Manager（技术/质量法规） to take charge of the PD functions in China.

Position: Assistant Product Development Manager

Report to: Product Development(PD) Manager(China) & PD Director (Group)

Resposiblitities:

n This position ensures regulatory compliance of the company’s products, ingredients, labeling, packaging and product claims which is crucial in maintaining the Company’s reputation with consumers and regulatory agencies. In addition, the position proactively identifies any potential regulatory problems and takes action to correct and minimize the impact such problems.

n Assures that product, packaging, labeling and claims are in regulatory compliance within China market.

n Supports Product Development and Marketing teams by providing regulatory guidance on proposed products and ingredients to assure that they meet regulatory requirements and desired labeling claims.

n Provides cross-functional support to other departments, including Product Development, Corporate Services, PR, Procurement, Marketing to identify and resolve regulatory issues.

n Monitors the development of China food regulations and regulatory issues, assesses and communicates the impact on current products, and assure that the company’s food law databases contain accurate and up-to-date information.

n Works with government authorities to obtain approvals for ingredients, product and advertising claims

n Develops and maintains scientific and regulatory networks in region to influence regulations and policies that benefit the company’s innovation and growth strategies.

n Prepares product information related declarations for Marketing and Sales Department.

n Explain the new food regulation to the plants.

n Co-ordinates analysis with outside accredited laboratories.

n Manages the nutrition analysis data base.

n Sets up the guidelines on label preparation.

n Replies customer enquiry provided by PR department.

n Provides technical support to other departments that related to food regulation.

n Performs ad hoc duties assigned within and outside of Regulatory area.

Qualification and Experience

n Science degree graduate (BS degree minimum) preferably majored in food science, food technology, nutrition or related subject.

n Solid experience in regulatory affairs. Established network with regulators and scientists in region a plus.

n 5 years above of experience with a consumer products or food ingredient company, preferably a food and beverage company

n Experience in managing people.

n Excellent analytical, organizational and verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

n Detail oriented and a self-starter.

n Fluent in both English and Putonghua.

n Ability to communicate at all levels.

n Ability to focus quickly on priorities and work under pressure with multiple deadlines.

n Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

n A good innovation / creativity mind.

n Attitude to learn.
