Position Description

This new position of Plant Manager for Promens China is a great opportunity for individuals that desire to develop themselves to actively participate in Promens’s new Global growth strategy.

Position

Reporting to the MD of Promens Asia (HK based), the plant manager will have the overall responsibility for establishing our new plant in China and operate it for the coming years. The plant′s location is in Taicang, Jiangsu province (30 min from Shanghai). The PM will be responsible for recruiting and training plant staff and operators. He will play a key role in transferring the know-how of manufacturing Promens products from current plants in Europe. As a member of the management team for Promens in Asia the PM will be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives. The position will require strong links to Europe especially regarding operational issues.

Qualifications

The Plant Manager should preferably have at least 10+ years of working experience, with at least five years in a management position. The candidate should preferably have experience in leading greenfield or expansion projects and running operationally effective organizations. Other qualifications include:

• Strong general and project management skills
• Experience in communicating and presenting key data
• Organization development and proven effectiveness in managing and empowering people
• Understanding and interest in equipment and technology, preferably from rigid plastics manufacturing, an most preferably from Rotational Moulding
• Previous experience in Chinese/Asian culture as well as Western manufacturing environment and/or language is appreciated
