Role purpose

·        As the Research associate Registration & PVP, you will be in charge to acquire plant variety rights for newly developed Syngenta plant varieties and permits needed for the commercialization (national/import listing) of seed and related plant products in the region upon request from the business.

·        Additionally, you will cooperate and communicate with Seeds commercial business and R&D stakeholders as well as expert counterparts in other Syngenta functions.

·        You will also work with outside counsels, agencies and will communicate with regional and national plant variety registration & protection offices and authorities.

• Accountabilities
• 1、负责新品种审定登记信息收集工作，包括国家和省级统一试验、绿色通道试验、联合体试验。
• Collect information for the plant variety registration (PVR) of corn in north China, including national and provincial, green channel and corn association registration.
• 1）参试品种申请资料的准备与申报
• Prepare and apply application materials for the testing varieties
• 2）绿色通道、联合体试验点沟通及落实
• Green channel and corn association locations communication and implementation
• 3）使用公司相关软件设计试验方案
• Design experimental with related software of company
• 4）各试验组别试验数据收集，整理，汇总，试验验报告撰写
• Collect, sort out and summarize trial data of each group, and write trial report
• 5）年度试验数据录入主管部门系统平台
• Trial data upload system platform of authorities
• 6）结束试验程序的品种审定资料申报
• Submit variety materials to PVR office
• 2、根据公司年度PVP计划，开展PVP申报工作。
• According to the company's annual PVP plan, carry out PVP application.
• 1）根据年度PVP计划，制定PVP年度预算
• Make PVP annual budget according to annual PVP plan
• 2）与国内外育种家沟通PVP品种的信息
• Communicate PVP variety information with domestic and global breeders
• 3）在PVP平台提交申请资料
• Submit application materials on PVP platform
• 4）跟进各申请品种PVP进程
• Follow up the PVP process of each application variety
• 5）与代理公司保持PVP品种进展沟通
• Keep communication with agent on PVP variety progress
• 6）负责申请品种文件资料管理
• Manage application variety documents and materials

Critical success factors & key challenges

·        Work as a seamless team across the R&D Portfolio Team to manage and deliver all assigned tasks in the multi-project portfolio aligned with crop and asset business strategies.

·        Improve processes and effectiveness by providing appropriate planning solutions with the aim of simplicity while providing transparency to stakeholders dependent on the data in Plant Variety Registration and Plant variety Protections.

·        Ensure all Varieties in PVP and PVR are supported by adequate business information, consistent with business strategy and likely to meet projected financial targets.

·        Ensure PVP&PVR forecast and planning information is up-to-date and required planning tools, complete and meaningful for assigned portfolio.

·        Improve processes and effectiveness by providing appropriate planning solutions with the aim of simplicity while providing transparency to stakeholders dependent on the data.

Critical knowledge

·        Master degree preferably in Agriculture or equivalent knowledge gained through proven experience.

·        Knowledge of technical aspects of plant varieties and/or knowledge of relevant IP and Seed related laws and regulations.

·        Knowledge of a broad range of scientific disciplines including: plant pathology general agricultural science: familiarity with plant breeding and agricultural production.

·        Knowledge of seeds and traits R&D and business organizations and processes.

·        General knowledge and a good understanding of seed product development processes is expected.

·        Must be able to understand commercial fundamentals and strategies.

Critical experience

·        Proficient in oral and written English communication.

·        Good team player, strong execution, and problem solved capability.

Additional information

·        Up to 10% travel required
