Role Purpose

• Oversee biological development of new products to meet customer needs
• Co-own   accountability of successful  new product  introduction   with marketing
• Provide  insights on  new technologies  to strengthen Syngenta competitive position
• Drive connection between CN product development  team with   Global Product Biology  team

Accountabilities

• Lead  product development   team   to drive the  end to end  delivery of pipeline objectives
• Provide  technical position for  new products   to differentiate from  competition
• Align the Strategic Market Segment (SMS)  priorities for product development and  resource allocation
• Provide technical insights  for portfolio development  to  fill SMS gap
• Create product development protocols and monitor biological field testing  for  new AIs or new formulations
• Deliver written technical reports / summaries  with  Product Biology inputs on development projects or  regulatory submissions
• Drive technical influence with key external and internal stakeholders to deliver short- term and long-term development goals
• Leverage social  resource by  participate in appropriate professional societies / organizations
• Be responsible for product knowledge transfer
• Take the responsibility of resistance management

Requirements

• With MSc/PhD level (Biology, Chemistry, Agronomy, Crop Science, Crop protection)

• At least 8 years’ experience in industry 
• At least 5 years’ experience of  team management
• Good communication skills and commercial sense
• Fluent  English
• Strong technical leadership
• With the min-set of   innovation
