职位描述
1. Working as an assistant to the IT Director in the overall management of the College’s information technology (“IT”) infrastructure.
2. Assisting the IT Director in planning, design, deployment, integration and maintenance of the College’s mission critical applications.
3. Working across teams to specify hardware and software requirements and standards for application services and development platforms.
4. Providing high-level training and guidance to other College IT staff regarding the College’s applications.
5. Participating in the evaluation of new and emerging technologies in application development area for their suitability and usability within the College’s environment.
6. Working with the University on the issues of application integration and customization to ensure interoperability between College applications and the core services offered by the University.
7. Interacting with the College’s faculty, administration and students to assess their needs.
8. Assisting the IT Director in leading the team to handle all emergencies and troubleshooting efforts in the application services area as necessary.
9. Participating in designing and implementing business continuity and disaster planning process such as backup/restore procedures and application security auditing.
10. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new technologies, best practices and current trends in the field of software engineering.
11. Managing assigned project tasks to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes. Providing regular status reports on assigned projects to inform the process of establishing institutional priorities for College-wide technology projects.
Required qualifications and experiences:
1. Good command of both written and spoken English
2. BS or MS Computer Science or over 10 years of related work experience
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience as an IT manager
4. Proactive, self-started, highly motivated, and pertaining to details
5. Good communicational, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely fashion
7. A good team player standing ready to lead and help others
8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a solution-minded approach
9. Able to work independently and systematically
10. Strong knowledge of systems management, analysis, and networking
11. Solid understanding of enterprise level networking
12. Solid understanding of Windows and hardware systems support in an Internet operations environment
13. Must have proven knowledge of both LAN/WAN component architecture as well as Application Software systems analysis and design
14. Hands-on experience in supporting server room management LAN/WAN, Window platform servers, and system monitoring
15. Proficiency in managing a Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and Exchange environment
16. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
17. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
18. Knowledge of virtual computing and cloud computing technologies
19. Willingness to be on call for off hour IT issues
Having the following qualifications will be an advantage:
1. Knowledge of educational management software a definite advantage
2. Knowledge of CRM, ERP and other enterprise application software
3. Knowledge of SQL database
4. Knowledge of telecommunication equipment (PABX, VOIP, telephone recorder)
