Core responsibility
The Partnership and Public Relations Manager reports to the Director of Development, and supports him in all work relating to public relationships management, and partnerships development.
Requirements of the position
The Partnership and Public Relations Manager should / will have a strong background in relationship management and development of partnerships, have excellent communication skills and an understanding of international education. In addition the successful candidate will possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A master’s degree is even better.
- Minimum 6 years of working experience
- Experience in managing external relations including regulatory authorities especially education and foreign affairs, government administrations of various levels, NGOs, foundations, schools, companies and organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written Chinese language skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (alumni, parents, students, media and school faculty).
- Prior partnerships development experience for an international school in China or some knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme would also be preferred.
- Ability to work well in a multi-cultural workplace
- Entrepreneurial in spirit and results-oriented with good project management and leadership skills
- Good research skills and good understanding of the education ecosystem
- High level of personal integrity, full compliance with confidentiality policy, code of conduct and use of discretion
- Ability to effectively use databases tool and MS Office.
- Good health, physical stamina and fitness
- Passion for a career in education
- Sense of humour

Main duties and responsibilities
The Partnership and Public Relations Manager will assist the Director of Development. His/her responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders including but not limited to: regulatory authorities especially education and foreign affairs, government administrations of various levels, NGOs, foundations, schools, companies and organizations.
o In order to obtain support and cooperation which are critical for the establishment, operation of the School including major regulatory approvals
o Explore new ideas/ways to engage critical stakeholders and develop sustainable partnerships
- Contribute to the organization and management of events for fundraising, public relations or, alumni relations
- Liaise with parents and get their support in spreading good word of mouth
- Keep alumni updated on development of the School
- Coordinate campus visits with other departments
- Keep regular contacts with all critical stakeholders and maintain a database
