Position Title: Customer Quality Resident Engineer

Department: Customer Quality, AP Product Line: ZF TRW AP PL

Reports Line:
Directly report to: Customer Quality Manager, ZF TRW AP
Functional report to: Plant Quality Managers

Covers Region / Area: Asia Pacific / Resident City
Overall Purpose of Job:

Customer relationship building-up and improvement, Regular visit customer office and communication with customer for customer concern review and follow up, lead and coordinate customer satisfaction issue between ZF TRW & Customer. To be the first contact window in customer plant to handle customer claims, support ZF TRW plants for customer communication, Organize diversified visit/meeting/workshop and other activities between ZF TRW and Customer to enhance the relationship and network. On-site vehicle level analysis with customer and implement containment actions in customer plant. Coordinate and manager ZF TRW resident resource in Customer, optimize ZF TRW Customer resident manage process.


Major Responsibilities:
? Responsible for customer quality problem on-site investigate and pre-analysis, send the problem description and pre-analysis result to plant quality team at the first time. Keep contact with plant quality and support plant quality for further vehicle level analysis and customer communication;
? Manage and coordinate ZF TRW AP resident resource, utilize use resident resource focus on running 0KM and warranty issues.
? Collect resident region 0KM and warranty issue, prepare month report to AP customer champion.
? Daily customer office visit to listen customer voice, build good relationship and cooperation with customer, regular review customer with customer concerns;
? Coordinate to build the customer quality network for ZF TRW plants;
? Coordinate to set up and arrange visit/meeting/workshop and other activities between ZF TRW and Customer;
? Support plant quality organization team for customer concern analysis and containment action arrangement, follow containment action effectiveness;
? Transmit customer specific requirements to ZF TRW, Support Sales, PM, Purchasing and other departments for customer communication;
? Support plant for new project safe launch in customer production line. Early involve in new product launch quality, verify and drive on new product quality improvement;
? Support plant for field return parts check at customer plant, counterclaim immediately for obvious wrong judged parts. Support plant to return parts back regularly, work together with plant and commercial team to negotiate customer counterclaim;
? Support plant and commercial team for quality agreement or quality items negotiation;
? Common requirements from direct Supervisor;
        
Key Competencies:
? Strong problem solving skills and methodology, such as 8D, 3X5WHY,FTA,Finshbone;
? Six sigma experience or TS16949 audit experience; (Preferred)
? Skilled in use of Customer Portal, deep understand for Customer specific requirements;
? Strong automotive quality background, especially the work experience with Customer;
? Good communication, teamwork, cross functional working experience, competency & skills;
? TS16949 and MSA,SPC,FMEA,PPAP,APQP knowledge and experience;
? Skilled in use MSA,SPC,FMEA,PPAP,APQP; (Preferred)
? Good working attitude and ability to work at pressure;
? Being open to learn and change;
? Positive thinking / working style ;

Education and Experience:

Educational: Bachelor or Master Degree in process/ product engineering, quality, program management … management related background
                          
Experience: - Minimum 2-3 years working experience in manufacturing/engineering/quality function in automotive industry;
- Minimum 1-2 years quality customer quality engineer of Customer relevant working experience in international automotive industry;
- Minimum 1-2 year’s resident experience in Customer;
- Product, process or quality engineering experience & expertise; (Preferred)
- Familiar with automotive safety product such like OSS, braking, Steering;
- Familiar with design and manufacturing process for automotive safety product; (Preferred)
                                   - Strong customer relationship building up and enhancement capability;
- Strong problem solving capability;
- Strong communication skills;

- Cross-functional team working experience; (Preferred)
- Strong pushing and drive capability;
- Very good communication skill and network build up capability;
- Good reading and written English, Middle level spoken English;
