JOB DIMENSIONS
In the team of Corporate R&D scientists, and in close connection with European and US similar positions, this role will be instrumental in providing technological support for Arkema’s products, in Asia.
ACTIVITIES
-Provide technical support to prospects using Arkema’s products, off-site or on-site;
-With the support of the European and US teams, solve customer issues, and write reports in English;
-Based on the analysis of market situation, propose appropriate technical evolutions to existing products;
-Propose if need be appropriate actions to develop new prospects;
-Participate to scientific conferences and market fairs, summarize technological and market trends, promote new ideas into Arkema’s Corporate R&D;
-Develop a Composites competency our R&D center : put in place the appropriate equipment, methods and standards, and bring this competency to world-class level
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-PhD or good Master level Material Science, or Polymer Science.
-Experience in composites preferably, or polymer processing or testing.
-Capacity to solve problems, capacity to handle problems in an efficient and pragmatic way.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills ; capacity to express and defend one’s point of view.
-Fluent in English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
