Position overview,
Follow the guidance and direction to execute, implement and operate the organization’s environmental management system at the ZJG Site.
Be responsible for daily operation management on all environmental aspects and ensure that site environmental protection and pollution control be fully in compliance with regulatory and corporate environmental requirement.
The responsibilities,
1.AS Responsibility Care coordinator, coordinate for the implementation of ISO14001 environment management system and OEMS system, RC audit and document control.
2.Be responsible for all environmental data collection associated to responsible area (all plants water /air/waste discharges), including the drainage channel, for internal and external reporting. Review environmental data, on a regular basis to ensure that the plant is taking the correct actions when out of compliance or abnormal events occur. Ensure that this data is collected by the plant as per the scheduled sampling procedure and that the procedures/system for collection meets EPB requirements.
3. Be Responsible for wastewater treatment, waste disposal and air emission supervision and storm water management. This will include the routine inspection and sampling. Vendor’s management, support wastewater & waste reduction program.
4.Generate monthly report graphs for site environmental report. Ensure the latest monthly legislation change information is collected and reviewed by Environmental specialist, team leader.
5.Support Energy Usage reductions within to responsible area, research the potential outlets for waste (especially for spent bed and MERU ash). Work with global technical teams to ensure the waste is disposed to comply with local regulation and corporate standards.
6.Coordinate environment A&I assessment, environment procedure writing and training completion for the ZJG site. Provide environmental related training to employee, stakeholder or key contractor to enhance staffs environmental protection awareness, knowledge and skill.
7.Update Environmental notice boards quarterly with new environmental focus topic in ZJG site.
8.Be responsible for all offsite interactions with testing lab and coordinate sample shipping.
9.The environmental engineer is required to be an active participant in the EHS on call service to site, which will involve carrying an emergency phone, periodically.

Qualification required:
* Bachelor or above degree in environmental, technical science, (chemistry, physics, engineering, or equivalent) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in environmental or similar field or equivalent experience.
* Excellent knowledge of local environmental related regulations, laws, and standard.
* Basic skills in production technology with focus on environmental aspects and risks.
* Ability to manage projects and deliver results, RC and Environment Management System, environmental procedures, practices and requirements.
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organization. Both English and Mandarin (oral and written) communication skills are required, ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams.
