Location: Cooper Tire & Rubber Company – Asia Technical Center

Department / Group: Testing Services Group

Reports To: Director of Testing Services Group

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Lead the projects of facility construction for Asia Tech Center, including civil work, HVAC system, fire protection system, decoration, and relative work.

· Responsible for working with contractors on preventive maintenance, ensure all facility system perform functionally and efficiently.

· Work with Lab and Tire Testing Group to set up equipment, and follow up the preventive maintenance schedule.

· Work with contractors to fix any failure of facility system or equipment in the shortest time.

· Coordinating with Purchasing Department to pick the right contractors, suitable equipment and tools for Asia Tech Center.

· Responsible for checking the contract terms from engineering side.

Required Education and/or Experience

· College Diploma (2-3 year) or University Degree (4-year) or higher degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering – required

· Minimum of 3-years of on-site engineering or preventive maintenance or project management or related experience – preferred

· Functional knowledge of tire testing equipment or tire manufacturing equipment – preferred

· Must be detailed oriented, self-starting, and must be able to complete projects with minimal supervision, and with great schedule and budget control.

· Be well organized and able to multiple tasks.

· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.

· Ability to facilitate, foster and assure open, honest, effective communication at and between all levels in the organization.

· Functional understanding of quality systems, concepts and ISO certification requirements.

· Must have mechanical aptitude

· CAD drawing proficiency, 2D - required, 3D – preferred

· Aware the importance of EHS (Environment/Health/Safe), and have that in mind while supervising the on-site work.

Working Conditions

· Must be able to work flexible hours including daily and weekend overtime, and alternate shifts as required to complete test programs.

· May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those detailed in this job description.

Travel may be necessary and should be expected, including overnight stays. International travel experience – preferred.
