This position is located at Arkema’s new Changshu R&D Center. The position reports to the Engineer responsible for the Arkema Coating Resins(ACR).
JOB DIMENSIONS
The purpose of the job is to follow safety rules and SOPs, operate lab facilities, run polymerization and make lab samples under the guidance of the engineer. Attending trainings is required, both HES and Technical, to obtain the setting goals.
ACTIVITIES
? Follow HSE instructions in the lab.
? Ensure that the polymerization facilities are at all time operational and reliable.
? Run these equipments under the responsibility of the engineer in charge.
? Run these equipments with full compliance to safety requirements.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Arkema has a comprehensive and unique portfolio of coatings materials and technologies for architectural and industrial coatings; building and decorative paints; transportation, marine and maintenance coatings;
Polymer Lab in CRDC, equipped with synthesis techniques, is capable to make water-borne resins(solvent-borne in future) , in order to provide support to ARKEMA’s customers, and to develop new products and new solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? BS in polymer processing, polymer science, chemistry.
? Preferably experience in emulsion synthesis
? Team spirit
? Quality oriented spirit.
? English speaking is a plus
