Major Responsibilities：

l The program manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a project over the entire life of the project as shown by the following Project Phases: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing.

Initiating Process

l）The program manager is responsible to manage the Initiating Phase, the key deliverables being the receipt and approval of the Handover Package and the development and management of the Preliminary Scope Statement. These documents formally sanction the project and documents project characteristics, respectively

2 Planning Process

l）The program manager is responsible to manage the Planning Phase, the key deliverable being an approved Project Management Plan which integrates all subsidiary plans to create one coherent document

2）The program manager will integrate and manage all of the following work products into the Project Management Plan, ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated:

3 Executing Process

l）The program manager is responsible to manage the Executing Phase, the key deliverable being work results

2）A focus on integration management continues to be an important element for the successful program manager, who is responsible to direct and manage project execution. The following areas are of particular focus during the Executing Phase:

4 Monitoring & Controlling Processes

l）The program manager is responsible to manage the Monitoring & Controlling Phase, the key deliverable being accepted deliverables

2）A focus on integration management continues to be an important element for the successful program manager, who is responsible to monitor and control project’s work and ensure integrated change control and project change management. The following areas are of particular focus during the Monitoring & Controlling Phase:

5 Closing Process

l） The program manager is responsible to manage the Closing Phase, the key deliverable being a successfully delivered product.

2）The program manager is responsible to close contracts, formally close projects, and ensure lessons learned & best practices are appropriately stored and/or disseminated.

Technical Characteristics

· Must demonstrate competency in OURCLIENT product design fundamentals, automotive APQP processes, PPAP/ PSO processes, manufacturing knowledge, and financial management basics (capex and non-recurring cost mgt.).

· Must demonstrate competency with the PMI PMBOK Nine Knowledge Areas including Project Integration Mgt., Project Scope Mgt., Project Time Mgt., Project Cost and Profitability Mgt., Project Quality Mgt., Project Human Resources Mgt., Project Communications Mgt., and Project Risk Mgt.

· Focus on program management as a profession through continuous learning. Receive and act on feedback on performance from Manager of Programs with input from project team and other stakeholders.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of program management processes and tools using Lean, VA-VE, Six Sigma, and DFSS methodologies.

Internal Candidates

· Experienced and proficient in GDPIM processes and able to mentor others and lead teams through GDPIM processes and procedures.

· Preferred PMP-certification through the Program Management Institute (PMI), with some review of certification through other certifying bodies considered (i.e., German Program Management Association (GPM)). PMP certification through PMI required within 12 months of accepting job.

· Successful candidate must exhibit proven team leadership capabilities.

· Must achieve the appropriate business unit requirements for PMI and Six Sigma certifications.

External Candidates

· At least three years Project Management experience through the entire project life cycle as outlined in the PMI PMBOK (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling, Closing) Four to six years experience in the automotive or supplier industry

· Successful candidate must exhibit proven team leadership capabilities.

· Preferred PMP-certification through the Program Management Institute (PMI), with some review of certification through other certifying bodies considered (i.e., German Program Management Association (GPM)).

Must achieve the appropriate business unit requirements for PMI and Six Sigma
