This position will reports directly to the Vice President Asia Pacific and dotted-line report to Vice President HS$E in support of the assigned business units across Asia Pacific.

? frequently interact with Product Line Directors and General Managers in Asia Pacific
? providing leadership and technical and program support to the HS&E staff located at Asia Pacific facilities
? act a key member of the Global HS&E Team
? ensure proper governance at the TRW Automotive facilities and joint ventures in Asia Pacific


Main Responsibilities

? Provide Lead Point of Contact Interface to AP facilities GM and Management team in all respects of HSE and Security.
? Direct Country HSE Managers in successful development and implementation of TRW HSE Tier One Goals and Targets at all applicable TRW facilities in Asia Pacific.
? Lead Asia Pacific HSE programs as appropriate/assigned.
? Provide Leadership to Country HSE Managers in implementation of the TRW HSE Management System Requirements and meet TRW and Business Unit specific program goals.
? Lead and conduct the inspect, audit and survey the facilities and sites in order to identify, track and resolve HS&E and security issues, including managing the audit program for Asia Pacific
? Manage and participate on multi-functional teams to ensure that HS&E requirements are included in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of facility management systems.
? Work with the Global HS&E Team to develop and implement specific subject matter expertise (SME), including, but not limited to program development, training programs, and management systems/specific requirements/guidance documents.
? Develop, implement, evaluate and monitor HS&E programs and procedures to assure personnel and facility operations are in accordance with the applicable HS&E regulations and TRW requirements, including management of the HS&E compliance audit program in Asia Pacific.
? Lead ergonomics and HS&E continuous improvement programs
? Support regional location(s) Management Teams and HSE Resources in formulation and achievement of HSE objectives and targets and advise on policy and regulatory matters.
? Support regional sites with meeting the TRW Automotive HSE Tier I Targets.
? Direct, develop and provide applicable HSE training for employees, supervisors, management team and regional Team members.
? Support regional sites as they interface with external HSE regulators in the event of site inspections, reviews or operational inquiries.
? Evaluate, recommend and implement policies and procedures to assure awareness and compliance with all HSE requirements of TRW and regulatory agencies.
? Implement health, safety and environmental initiatives and activities as assigned.

Employee Supervision Responsibilities:
? Supervise Regional HSE Team members (managers, support staff) on projects, Business Unit support, and facility assignments via EPDP reviews, role goal setting, budget and administration, etc.
? Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to HSE resources at Asia Pacific facilities and members of Regional Team.
? Lead or participate in HSE Resource induction training, goals and objectives development, development planning and provide input on annual performance reviews for Asia Pacific HSE job family staff.

Job Qualifications:

Candidates for this HS&E position must:
? Have a bachelor’s degree in HS&E or related science or business field. A professional certification in the HS&E field (i.e. Certified Safety Professional, Professional Engineer, and Certified Industrial Hygienist) is preferred.
? Be bi-lingual (English and Mandarin Chinese).
? Have at least twelve (12) years of HS&E work experience, preferably in manufacturing.
? Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills. Must have demonstrated follow-up and closure skills.
? Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, and project management skills required including high energy and proactive forward thinking abilities.
? Have prior manufacturing experience, as well as, experience with a broad range of HS&E regulations and programs relating to the operation.
? Be able to assess risks and to recommend appropriate corrective actions in routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
? Possess solid working knowledge of AP Regional HS&E regulations, especially chemical safety/management, hazardous energy control, hazard communication, personal protective equipment & chemical hygiene and have a working knowledge of Life Safety and Fire Codes desirable.
? Greenbelt or Black belt certification is preferred.
? Must be able to successfully direct multiple activities.
? Capable of leading direct and indirect reporting HSE Staff.
? Achieve TRW subject matter expert proficiency on TRW HSEMS and Core HSE programs.
