Summary:
Suzhou Lellan is seeking an individual to lead the new development of an electro-optical equipment for the test and measurement of LED based SmartTile. Key responsibilities include: establishing instrument specifications and qualification criteria, recommending and implementing design improvements to hardware and software, developing measurement techniques to evaluate performance, using statistical methods to quantify instrument capability, managing and tracking performance of the measurement systems, and generating scripts to process and analyze instrument output data.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the development of electro-optical test and measurement equipment
- Define and maintain equipment specifications
- Design methods to perform optical measurements utilizing electrical, optical and mechanical test system integration
- Lead the build and integration of speficied test system, generate code to process data and assist in database management
- Track performance of instrument against specifications and develop maintenance protocols
- Perform statistical analyses to quantify instrument capability, identify and resolve sources of variability
- Create written procedures for instrument build and qualification as well as training documents
- Communicate progress and results to management of Lellan
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 year prior work experience with build and test of electro-optical systems
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or similar
- Knowledge of LED-based systems, non-imaging optics and color science
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and optical measurement equipment
- Minimum 3 year prior programming experience with National Instruments LabView, familiarity with National Instruments test hardware
- Background in design of statistical analysis, e.g. Six Sigma training
- Strong written and oral English is a must as well as great communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to work in a startup environment with an international team
