Position Identification:
Position Title : Commodity Manager, AP Electromechanical
Working Location : Shanghai
Department : Purchasing
Product Line : Electronics, Braking, Steering.
Region Covered : AP
Components : Engineered Connectors, Sensor, Actuator.
Reporting Line:
Directly Reports to Position Title: Snr Commodity Manager
Functionally Reports to Position Title:
Overall Purpose of Job
This should be a broad overview of this position'
s function. Include the overall scope of the position and the authority this position possesses in terms of programs/ projects/ operations and establishing policy.
· Maintain the supplier base in this region. Drive the cost reduction to meet the business needs. Support Regional design team for advanced sourcing and development activities
Major Responsibilities
List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of this position. Include quantifiable data where appropriate (i.e. budget dollars, etc.)
l Create the Commodity strategy for EM connectors in AP working together with the global commodity team
l Setup and execute the AP EM commodity OP/SP plan together with global commodity team
l Lead sourcing committee and sourcing decisions for EM connectors for the program launch in AP, support GCM on sensors and actuators sourcing and documental work in AP.
l Part of the global sourcing committee for the key components sourcing activity.
l Drive the dual sourcing strategy for engineered connectors.
l Drive the VAVE cost down improvement activities for AP purchasing
l Lead the GCS benchmarking activity for EM Commodity in AP
l Maintain the supplier base for EM components for AP
l Support PL purchasing BOM management
l Support the delivery of OP savings plan

Education & Work Experience
