职位描述

Task Description:
In accordance with PMI standards, the program/ platform manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a project/ program over the entire life of the project/ program as shown by the following Project Phases: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. In addition, this position also requires direct management of project managers. Translated to TRW standards, further detail follows:
The program manager will be involved with the project from GDPIM 1-8.
The program manager is responsible to support / manage acquisition activities during GDPIM 1 and 2 phases on a case-by-case basis as agreed with program management director and/or sales management lead.
The program manager is responsible to manage the customer interface from GDPIM Phases 3-8.
The program manager is responsible to interface with all areas affected by the project, ensuring successful integration of all project work products.
The program manager is responsible to balance the competing demands of scope, time, and cost (also known as the "triple constraint")
Responsibilities
As mentioned in the "Task Description" area, the program/ platform manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a project/ program over the entire life of the project/ program as shown by the following Project Phases: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. A brief overview is provided below for the five key project phases, while Appendix A provides definitions for each of the work products.
Initiating Process
The program manager is responsible to manage the Initiating Phase, the key deliverables being the receipt and approval of the Handover Package and the development and management of the Preliminary Scope Statement. These documents formally sanction the project and documents project characteristics, respectively.
Planning Process
The program manager is responsible to manage the Planning Phase, the key deliverable being an approved Project Management Plan which integrates all subsidiary plans to create one coherent document.
The program manager will integrate and manage all of the following work products into the Project Management Plan, ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated:

Executing Process
The program manager is responsible to manage the Executing Phase, the key deliverable being work results. A focus on integration management continues to be an important element for the successful program manager, who is responsible to direct and manage project execution. Closing Process
The program manager is responsible to manage the Closing Phase, the key deliverable being a successfully delivered product. The program manager is responsible to close any contracts and formally close the project, and ensure that lessons learned and best practices are appropriately stored and/or disseminated.
Since this position requires direct management of project managers, following additional requirements are necessary

Requirements
Personal Characteristics: Focus on program management as a profession through continuous learning. Receive and act on feedback on performance from Manager of Programs with input from project team and other stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of program management processes and tools using Lean, VA-VE, Six Sigma, and DFSS methodologies.
At least three years Project Management experience through the entire project life cycle as outlined in the PMI PMBOK (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling, Closing)
Six to ten years experience in the automotive or supplier industry
Preferred PMP-certification through the Program Management Institute (PMI), with some review of certification through other certifying bodies considered (i.e., German Program Management Association (GPM)). PMP certification through PMI is preferred within 12 months of accepting job. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred within 12 months of accepting job.
Successful candidate must exhibit proven team leadership capabilities. English proficiency required.
Education
A bachelor degree in project management, engineering or related technical field required.
MBA preferred, although additional business management education / experience will be considered.
